India Gómez grew up listening to traditional Cuban music such as Orquesta Aragón, Afro Cuban All Stars and Benny Moré.  She has been dancing and teaching professionally since 2002 offering private lessons, group classes, workshops, club classes, special events and event services, performances, and lectures. India has studied Salsa dancing, Salsa Cubana (Cuban Salsa), Rueda de Casino (Salsa Rueda), and Cuban popular dance (Danzon, Cha-cha-cha, Son, Son Montuno, Guaracha) extensively with master teachers in the US and in Cuba.  Her main philosophies about dancing are:

We dance because there is music. We dance to become part of the music and as an expression of the music. We dance to express ourselves and to communicate with others. We dance as part of a community.
